Our club

Sheffield University Judo club are, surprisingly, a student Judo club based at the University of Sheffield.

Every year we have lots of people start with us that are new to Judo. We also have plenty of players who have done Judo before coming to university. It is a great place for new players to meet our more experienced players.

As well as travelling to competitions around the country, we run 2 events on home turf.

USIST is our international team event that features some experienced players taking part alongside relative beginners. It generally takes place the penultimate weekend of March.

SUKT is our Kyu grade competition, held towards the end of the autumn term. This is normally the first Saturday of December.

We often meet outside of training sessions - usually at the pub straight after sessions!
